Why “AfterAction”?
Hi, I’m Will — a husband, father of five, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and medically retired law enforcement officer with a lifelong passion for helping people navigate adversity and move forward with purpose.
I served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps before continuing my career in public service as a law enforcement officer for 5 years. During my time in law enforcement, I specialized in crisis intervention and responded to more than 400 mental health crisis calls for service. Those experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of trauma, stress, resilience, and the weight many people silently carry every day.
Through both professional experience and personal lived experience, I understand that trauma does not always end when the moment is over. Many people continue carrying the emotional, mental, and relational effects long after the crisis has passed. That reality is what led me to dedicate my life to helping others process their experiences, rebuild confidence, and move forward.
My work focuses heavily on trauma care, resilience, emotional regulation, identity, and “life after” — life after trauma, career stress, loss, transition, or major life events. I am especially passionate about supporting veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, and individuals navigating high-stress environments.
My approach is grounded, authentic, and relationship-focused. I believe healing starts with feeling seen, understood, and supported without judgment. Whether through coaching, counseling support, or equine-assisted work, my goal is to help people regain confidence, develop practical tools, and move toward a healthier, more connected life.
You do not have to stay stuck in survival mode. Healing and growth are possible, and you do not have to do it alone.
